A great sample gas cooler just got even better
May 11 2021
The EGK 2A Ex- sample gas cooler from Bühler Technologies’ has been successfully recertified under the current ATEX directive 2014/34 / EU. At the same time, the sample gas cooler was also attained IECEx international explosion protection system for the same operating conditions.
The latest edition of IEC 60079-0 has already been used in the approval process. The sample gas cooler can be used safely in potentially explosive atmospheres of zones 1 and 2 under the more stringent requirements, including gas group IIC.
The nominal cooling capacity remains unchanged at 615kj / h (170W) and, as before, can be divided into up to four independent gas paths. Plug-in heat exchangers made of stainless steel, PVDF or glass are also available for this purpose.
The basic structure of the cooler remains unchanged. However, condensate pumps can now optionally be attached directly, increasing the height by 80mm. A secured status output as well as a potential-free alarm output are available for integration into in-house control and monitoring systems. Power is supplied with 230V or 115V 50/60 Hz single-phase alternating current. The cooler is designed for both standing or wall mounting.
