Young people to give ideas on improving air quality in East Sussex
Jan 24 2011
The East Sussex Youth Cabinet has organised the programme, which will see youngsters in the region giving their views on transport and the environment, the Eastbourne Herald reported.
They will be able to discuss problems such as air quality, waste reduction and global warming, as well as suggest improvements for the county's transport services.
After the questionnaires have been handed in, the results will be fed back to transport and environment bosses at County Hall in hope that they will help make public transport in the area more energy-efficient, which will help improve the region's air quality.
Some of the Youth Cabinet's other intentions include encouraging schools to use more energy-saving measures by asking them to monitor their fuel use and come up with plans to reduce this.
