Poor air quality 'could lead to health complaints'
Aug 12 2010
In an article on PSFK, the impact on the environment of air pollutants was talked about with reference to health conditions.
The website stated that the PSFK's Future of Health Report suggested that there are "emerging developments in the tracking of environmental conditions".
Speaking about the TEDMED conference in October 2009, it stated that geographic researcher Bill Davenhall discussed the way "environmental factors can serve as key indicators of future health".
The article said that technological advancements in devices which allow users to monitor environmental conditions and the level of air quality in the atmosphere could help people avoid areas high in pollutants.
One such gadget is the Sensaris urban environment detector, which uses Bluetooth wireless sensors aimed at encouraging people to "share environmental best practises" and improve their health by detecting areas low in air quality.
