Air Monitoring
Efficient Air Speed Measurement
Jul 10 2012
The new AFRISO LGM 1 air speed measuring instrument from Afriso-Euro-Index (Germany) allows for adjustment of the air speed in air conditioning and ventilation systems as well as high-precision measurement of the air flow in air ducts and extraction systems.
The compact, microprocessor-controlled LGM 1 features an LC display with battery check and weighs only 150 g with battery. LGM 1 can be connected to the vane probe 25 (Ø 25 mm, measuring range from 0.3 m/s to 35 m/s) or the vane probe 70 (Ø 70 mm, measuring range from 0.2 m/s to 40 m/s). The two probes are suitable for operating temperatures from -30 °C to 100 °C. LGM 1 has a resolution of 0.01 MPS (m/s) and an accuracy of ± 1.0 % of the measured value ± 1 digit. The LGM 1 air speed measuring instrument can display in units of 0.01 m/s and 1 ft/min; the measuring time can be switched from 2 s to 16 s. The current and mean values are displayed for both measuring times. The minimum and maximum values are stored.
LGM 1 is suitable for ambient temperatures from 0 to 50 °C and can measure air speed for up to 40 hours with one battery (9 V IEC 6 LR 61). The measuring instrument is shipped with either a vane probe 25 or a vane probe 70 as required. The scope of delivery includes one of the two probes, a manual, a connection cable, an extension rod and a robust carrying case.
