Air Monitoring

Join some globally acclaimed experts on methane monitoring for coffee in Barcelona

AddGlobe, LLC, a highly reputable engineering and development company with a wealth of experience in the field of gas distribution networks, will be sponsoring the CEM Exhibition coffee sessions. Addglobe was founded as a reseller of air sampling products over 15 years ago. They also used this technology in their various Projects of Joint Implementation under Kyoto Protocol from 2007 to 2013. This gained Addglobe invaluable experience and they expanded the team’s capabilities to include the management and coordination of all aspects of inspection and repair of gas networks/valves for several different organisations, overseeing their instruments, methods, databases, etc..

The Addglobe team has provided technical and methodological support for numerous gas distribution projects and has an extensive level of expertise in issues relating to the detection and measurement of methane leaks. This knowledge and experience made it possible for them to design, develop and manufacture the GFM (Gas Flow Meter) 2.0. This device is their next-generation High Volume Sampler designed for EPA and international environmental compliance. The GFM 2.0 is a portable, intrinsically safe, rechargeable direct measurement instrument that rapidly quantifies precise leak rates of 99% of fugitive methane emissions. The GFM 2.0 performs fast and precise leak measurements by utilising a high flow rate of air and a modified enclosure to completely capture gas leaking from the component. The device features intrinsically safe, non-dispersive infrared optical sensors with a wide temperature range; these are used to measure the natural gas concentration in the system’s air stream. The measuring system also includes additional sensors to reveal the volume of oxygen in the gas stream enabling gas density to be corrected and the effects of high-order hydrocarbon impurities to be eliminated. The proprietary Oxygen Displacement Method enables the GFM 2.0 to make precise leak measurements with +/- 5% level of accuracy.
