New TOC Analyser Simplifies Wastewater Monitoring
Sep 30 2009
To minimise costs, many facilities are using total organic carbon (TOC) monitoring to optimise their wastewater treatment processes. The new Sievers InnovOx Laboratory TOC Analyser from GE Analytical (USA) helps plants to monitor their process, and ensures that their treatment facility is in compliance with the law and that chemical treatments are optimised. The InnovOx is capable of running a variety of wastewater sample matrixes — from 0.5 to 50,000 ppb — with extreme accuracy, precision, and speed.
The Sievers InnovOx Laboratory TOC Analyser was also designed to handle tough samples. By using an innovative Supercritical Water Oxidation (SCWO) technique that achieves greater than 99% efficient oxidation, the Sievers InnovOx is able to run hundreds of brine and wastewater samples continuously with no recalibration, no system maintenance, and no replacement parts. The InnovOx also removesproblematic sample matrix contamination at the end of every analysis. This means there is no salt or oxidation by-product buildup in the reactor, tubing, or valves.
