Multiple Key Trace Metal Monitor Installed in Argentina
Mar 18 2014
Modern Water plc. (UK) has installed multiple trace metal monitors in Argentina, representing a continued increase in demand within the country.
Modern Water recently completed the installation of three on-line OVA7000 trace metal monitors for a World Bank-funded river clean-up project in Buenos Aires. Purchased by the Argentinian government, the three trace metal monitors will monitor Hexavalent Chrome as part of the extensive Matanza-Riachuelo river clean-up scheme, which will restore the river to a site of natural beauty.
A further two OVA trace metal monitors are being used to monitor a new reverse osmosis water treatment plant that has recently been installed to remove naturally occurring arsenic from the Matanza-Riachuelo river. The OVA products were installed in December and continuously ensure that water quality meets World Health Organisation (WHO) standards.
Modern Water has also supplied its PDV6000ultra trace metal monitor to a number of companies, including world leading food group Danone and brewing giant Cervecería y Maltería, both of which use the monitor to ensure products are kept well below WHO guidelines.
Trace metal monitoring is required across a variety of production facilities, including bottled water and brewing.
Modern Water’s pioneering forward osmosis technology and its innovative water monitoring equipment were recently discussed at a Foreign and Commonwealth seminar in Argentina, attended by key government ministers and industry experts, highlighting the interest in Modern Water’s groundbreaking technology.
Simon Humphrey, Modern Water CEO, commented: “Modern Water has worked hard to establish itself as a key player in the monitoring industry in South America and we are pleased to see this translate into increased demand for our products.”
