A simple and long-term solution for precise and reliable refrigerant gas leak detection

NET’s REMORA First has taken the hassle out of refrigerant leak detection. This user-friendly and economical sensor module is based on NDIR technology and measures over 40 refrigerant gases over multiple detection ranges and platforms. With NDIR technology, users are assured of unsurpassed gas selectivity, poison immunity, long term stability and a life span in the region of 15 years of fail safe and faultless operation. NET have developed cutting-edge NDIR technology for refrigerant leak detection for over a decade; they therefore provide a wide range of groundbreaking sensor technology with a superb level of integration knowledge, experience and support.

The versatile REMORA First is enclosed within a robust glass reinforced, flame-retardant IP65 polyamide housing which include mounting holes. An oleophobic filter and oil-spray cover protect the gas inlet, so the REMORA First can handle the possible contaminants and shocks ubiquitous to the types of applications for which it was developed.

NET’s REMORA First module features a high-level interface with standard 4-20mA analogue output and MODBUS protocol on RS-485, along with local Threshold, Watchdog and fault alarm outputs. The REMORA First’s power supply rating is 12-24VDC; it can be customised using various interface options, including a PokaYoke Automotive connector or a NET standard connector and cable.

The Remora First sensor provides a perfect solution for all refrigerant leak detection applications, whether they are used for direct integration in HVAC/R apparatus including rooftop units, chillers, and heat pumps, to environmental monitoring in locations such as machinery rooms, cold rooms, or refrigerated transportation and populated areas including hotel rooms, offices, or medical facilities.

REMORA is undergoing IEC60335-2-40:2022 annex LL, EN 61508:2010 parts 1-7, EN 50402:2017 (SIL2), EN 61326 Part 1, EN 50270  - electromagnetic compatibility and EN 60529:1991 – IP protection certification to ensure that these products meet the most stringent criteria for refrigerant leak detection, thereby providing end-users with rest-assured accuracy and dependability.
