Trace elements may be easier to find with developments in gas chromatography
Aug 09 2010
Research firm Global Industry Analysts (GIA) explains that there is a demand for higher resolution in gas chromatography systems.
This is accompanied by a desire for lower detection limits, which could also lead to more sensitive detecting equipment for trace elements.
GIA's forecasts come as it predicts steady growth for the gas chromatography market worldwide, in spite of the recent economic turbulence seen on a global scale.
Asia-Pacific is expected to see the largest growth rate, although Europe remains the single largest geographical market at around 30 per cent of revenues.
The US and Japan complete the top three markets for gas chromatography systems, according to the analyst.
Founded in 1987, GIA serves as many as 27 countries across the globe with analysis covering more than 180 different industries.
