Gas Detection
New Oxygen Sensor Launched
Feb 02 2012
The recently introduced oxygen sensor O2/M-100 from Membrapor (Switzerland) has attracted a lot of attention, with several reasons for its success.
The oxygen sensor does not have a limited lifetime; conversely to galvanic O2-sensors this type has no consumable parts, nor does change anything inside with time. Storage is unproblematic compared to sensors with sacrificial anode.
This sensor is fully RoHS compliant and does not contain any toxic metals in comparison to lead-based sensors. The O2/M-100 oxygen sensor is based on the same technology as MEMBRAPOR`s sensors for toxic gases; high quality gas sensors based on many years of experience.
The true 3-electrode sensor gives an exceptional high signal of 2.1 mA in air. This makes it possible to measure with a resolution of 0.05% over the whole range from 30% down to 0.1% of oxygen. A response time of t90 < 10 s. The sensor withstands high CO2 concentrations and shows high resistivity to acid gases. An operational temperature range of -40 to +50 °C comes as standard.
