Award-winning area gas monitor now upgraded with new features

Blackline Safety Corp. has recently added new features to its award-winning G7 EXO portable area gas monitor.

The G7 EXO was developed to provide a fast, drop-and-go gas monitor that provides end users with real-time data of the location monitored. The G7 sounds alarms both on the device itself as well as the Blackline Live monitoring software to ensure that personnel, assets and the local environment are protected.

The new G7 EXO features Blackline’s AlertLink proximity-based warning alerts, that increases worker safety thanks to advance warnings of potentially hazardous conditions thereby expediting any necessary evacuation.

Blackline has also included automatic bump testing to ensure that the instruments are constantly are compliance and working properly and in compliance with safety regulations, while avoiding time-consuming and expensive site visits.

The G70 EXO offers  24/7 continuous run-time powered by a solar panel and 100+ days of battery life. Its flexible port configurations enable tailored accessory device capabilities for each different working environment.

Cody Slater, Blackline’s CEO and Chair stated “The breadth of G7 EXO’s enhanced capabilities elevate our industry-leading drop-and-go solution, providing customers with the flexibility to respond quickly to incidents, manage compliance and harness vital insights to reduce risk—all with less effort and cost, and greater peace of mind. We collaborated with customers and designed these new features to help them take their safety operations to the next level”.

Organisations use the versatile G7 EXO to protect sites during shutdowns, turnarounds and construction projects; these devices have been used to monitor confined spaces and fence-lines at demanding locations such as tank farms and drilling rigs. Many fire and hazmat teams use G7 EXO to monitor potentially volatile response situations, such as electric vehicle fires or fires with off-gassing. Thanks to G7 EXO, organisations can gain a clear overview of precisely what is happening in the area being monitored - and quickly alert or evacuate teams in an emergency.
