For Sustainability Month: Make a positive impact on the environment

Customers worldwide using our reliable MQuant® test strips for environmental and food & beverage sample and in-process analysis can now make a significant impact for the environment.

For over 50 years, we have provided trustworthy MQuant® test strips that enable semi-quantitative determination of pH, ions, and other compounds directly at the point of sampling or during in-process testing. As we expand our product offerings, we remain dedicated to reducing our environmental footprint.

Key areas of focus include minimizing plastic usage and implementing more sustainable packaging solutions. Given the considerable use of test strips in laboratories globally, we aim to promote responsible consumption and production of our MQuant® test strips.

Products that significantly reduce their environmental impact or align with other sustainability goals are marked as “Greener Alternative Products” in our portfolio, indicated by a green icon. Test strips that have undergone product improvements are categorized as “Re-engineered Products.” Our product design and sustainability teams continuously seek opportunities for enhancement, as we believe that small changes can lead to significant effects.

Sustainable chemistry is vital for our company and customers. We offer solutions that promote sustainable practices, including greener chemicals, eco-friendly synthesis methods, and waste reduction initiatives, which help minimize environmental impact, improve lab safety, and reduce costs. For more information on our contributions to green chemistry, request our interactive Sustainability Handbook, which outlines our goals and available greener alternatives.

To learn more on how to become more sustainable in the lab, check out the 12 principles of Green chemistry. Green chemistry aims to minimize the impact of chemicals on human health and eliminate environmental contamination through sustainable prevention programs. It seeks environmentally friendly reaction media while enhancing reaction rates and reducing temperatures. To see these principles in action, explore our DOZN™ Quantitative Green Chemistry Evaluator and our four categories of Greener Alternatives.
