Endress+Hauser maintain top corporate sustainability rankings for fifth consecutive year

Jun 02 2021

Endress + Hauser has attained an impressive 76/100 points to remain in the EcoVadis sustainability’s top 1% of companies audited for the fifth consecutive year.

The globally renown process instrumentation company managed to improve on their already high standards in the categories of environment and sustainable procurement. Endress + Hauser also maintained their elite status for ethics, labour and human rights. These achievements saw them into the EcoVadis top echelon in respect of results as they were awarded audit’s highest accolade, the platinum medal, to add to their gold standard.

Nurturing a culture of corporate sustainability
Corporate sustainability is not a new fad at Endress + Hauser, the industrial instrumentation manufacturers have published an annual sustainability report since 2014. The Endress + Hauser CEO, Matthias Altendorf stated ‘“Comprehensive responsibility is a core value of our corporate culture. As a family business, we want to combine economic success with ecological and social progress,”

The EcoVadis audit underlines Endress+Hauser’s commitment to their continued focus on sustainable development. “We support our customers in producing sustainably. That’s why we also want to be a leader in terms of the sustainability of our business and production processes,” said CFO Dr Luc Schultheiss.

An environmental company providing environmental instrumentation
Endress + Hauser’s instruments are used in industrial locations the world over to facilitate reducing pollution and waste to help care for the environment. The company itself also take their commitment to the future of the planet seriously and still strive to reduce the environmental impact of their activities. To that end they have increased the level of green energy used at their facilities and much of their travel has been replaced by video conferencing.

Endress + Hauser’s top one percent status out of the approximately 75,000 companies which underwent the EcoVadis audit came about after standards within 21 different categories were surpassed. The scheme also offers advise for further improvements, having improved their result by 4% in 2020, it would not be surprising to see more improvements in the coming year as well.
