Outline Role of Gas Sensors in Reducing China’s Emissions Targets at Miconex 2013
Jul 30 2013
Leading gas sensor manufacturer, City Technology (UK), is set to deliver a keynote presentation at this year’s Miconex event, taking place on 27-30th August at the China International Exhibition Centre in Beijing. The presentation will be delivered by Wilson Tan, APAC Business Leader, City Technology, and will cover the latest gas sensing technologies designed to support Government targets to reduce emissions and energy consumption in China by 16% in 2016.
City Technology is exhibiting a range of new products at this year’s show at Stand 8B033, including enhanced sensors for combustion analysis and air quality monitoring, and Sensoric sensors for monitoring toxic gases used in industrial refrigeration applications – another key growth market in Asia Pacific. The soon to launch Smartboard Transmitter product will also be demonstrated to delegates, offering a fast route to instrument design for new entrants to the gas detection market and a solution for projects where there is insufficient sensor circuitry experience. In terms of residential applications, City will be outlining the benefits of its ECOSURE carbon monoxide sensors - 12 million of which are used CO alarms and fire detectors globally.
Wilson Tan, APAC Business Leader, City Technology, said, “Miconex is a great opportunity to talk to leading businesses about current developments which impact on wider market issues. As Government targets are getting tighter around energy saving and emissions, it is important to look at product technologies which can have a positive impact. Gas sensors being a critical part of delivering portability in gas detection instruments used in ambient and indoor environments. Another area seeing growth in the Asia-Pacific market is industrial refrigeration. City has a range of ammonia sensors designed for challenging environments, so we expect to see significant interest in these products. Miconex is also an ideal platform to provide more information on our new Smartboard Transmitter Technology which is being released later in the year.”
