Air monitoring
Innovative and operational solution for atmospheric monitoring of aerosol particles: industrial emissions, urban air pollution and natural events (volcanic ashes, forest fires and dust storms)
Mar 25 2020
Cimel is a French manufacturer of remote sensing solutions for atmospheric and environmental monitoring. Their CE376 is a robust and compact, backscatter aerosols LiDAR, offering highly accurate and reliable monitoring of aerosols. The CE376 can measure continuously aerosols up to 20 km.
It operates in the visible (green: 532 nm) and/or in the near infrared (NIR: 808 nm) ranges with optional depolarisation channels for enhanced aerosol analysis multiple layers distinction. It features a real time ‘quick look’ visualisation providing back scattering profiles. The CE376 performs aerosol characterisation, stratification analysis and Planet Boundary Layer (PBL) detection.
This fully integrated solution works remotely, with no requirements for human interaction, and extremely low maintenance. With its thermal enclosure, this LiDAR operates reliably in all environmental conditions.
It can be completed by a CIMEL CE318-T photometer (AAMS solution), to provide continuously high-added value parameters (Concentration, Characterization and Localization of aerosols), either on a fixed or mobile (M-AAMS) platform.
The CE376 is simple to install, whether indoor or outdoor, to transport and even operate on board a vehicle or a plane.
