Outdoor Air Monitoring
Jan 28 2008
The Coriolis® ä is completely dedicated to outdoor air monitoring of airborne spores, pollen grains and bacteria interesting directly the aerobiology, medical health, forestry or plant science providing time-to-time data, determining rate of allergenicity in air or pollen grains count and fungiâs spores or bacteria concentrations.
This high volumetric sampler offers a wide range of parameters easily set thanks to an ergonomic display and key-pad: air flow rate up to 300 L/min, sampling time. The standard model is available with a 250 mL sampling liquid tank in a weather proof metal case which could be mounted on a tripod and connected to a wind-vane that keeps the air
inlet pointing into the wind.
Eight Coriolis® ä samplers is used since the beginning of year in various sampling stations throughout Europe (France, UK, Finland, Poland, Spain, Portugal, Italy and Switzerland) in the framework of MONALISA project with the contribution of the LIFE financial instrument of European Community. The robustness and efficiency of this
equipment is now demonstrated for the monitoring of pollen grains.
